Natural Healthcare Solutions, since 2003

We founded FNC in 2003 because of our desire to provide high quality complementary health care to the people of Fredericton and beyond. We are passionate about giving our patients access to the best that natural medicine has to offer. We focus on safe and effective healthcare solutions tailor-made for each patient. Our Naturopathic Doctors are highly trained healthcare professionals who will collaborate with

conventional Medical Doctors in more complex cases.

About FNC

OUR CLINIC

Our clinic is unique in Fredericton, serving as the area's only Naturopathic clinic since 2003. We now have 2 full-time NDs on staff as well as a Registered Massage Therapist. In the summer of 2016, we moved into our newly renovated clinic on Union Street with over 1700 square feet of space, 3 large treatment rooms, a dedicated IV therapy room, and a boardroom for holding talks, demonstrations and presentations.

Elizabeth Saunders, BA, RMT

Elizabeth enjoys providing a variety of customized treatment options to her clients.  She is experienced treating numerous conditions including anxiety, mental and emotional stress, postural imbalances, chronic pain, repetitive strain injuries, migraines and prenatal massage.  Her treatments include a mixture of traditional Swedish massage, myofascial release, cupping as well as craniosacral-lymphatic drainage integration.

She believes that bodies of all shapes and sizes deserve to receive massage therapy, in a nonjudgmental and safe space.  She enjoys woking with adolescents, athletes, seniors, and members of the transgender community.  Helping clients to build confidence in their body's movement is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

As a graduate of the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage, she has come full circle and is now a part time supervisor and instructor at the school.  Inspired by this role, she enjoys educating clients about their bodies.

Our Services

OUR SERVICES

Naturopathic Consultations

NDs are professionally trained practitioners of complementary medicine; instead of treating your symptoms with a prescription, we will treat your symptoms naturally while determining the root cause of those symptoms at the same time. The unique relationship we build with each of our patients enables us to provide the necessary information as well as empowerment to help you achieve your health related goals. Treatment plans may include nutrition and lifestyle counseling, herbal medicines, acupuncture, and more!

Acupuncture and Naturopathic Therapies

Our Naturopathic Doctors use acupuncture, laser, ultrasound, and massage therapy to effectively treat acute and chronic pain in many patients. Acupuncture can also be very effective in treating stress, anxiety, headaches, fertility issues and digestive problems among others.

Dr. Parissa Bunin, ND is specially trained to administer IV vitamin therapy. The most common infusion is the Myer's Cocktail, a blend of important vitamins. High dose Vitamin C is also used on a case by case basis. This is especially helpful if your digestion is compromised, making it hard to absorb nutrients from supplements.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including, muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage Therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions. Our Naturopathic Doctors often include massage techniques into their treatment plans and we have a registered massage therapist, Nancy Canning, at the clinic as well.

Our most popular tests include IgG food sensitivity testing, saliva hormone testing, comprehensive stool analysis, and heavy metal testing among others.

Supplement advice

If you are feeling overwhelmed at the amount of information available about supplements, one of our NDs can guide you to the optimal combination of supplements for your needs. Don't waste your time and money on ineffective or poor quality supplements; get a professional to help you determine what you need, and provide you with top quality supplements that work for you!

Digestive Issues

Our Naturopathic Doctors have had a great deal of experience in successfully treating "IBS", gas, bloating, heartburn and other digestive issues using a combination of diet changes, nutritional supplements, herbal medicines and / or acupuncture.

There are many effective natural treatments for symptoms of hormonal imbalance such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, PMS, irregular periods, thyroid issues, etc.

Mental Health

We have worked with many people who are dealing with varying degrees of anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, and so on. Some patients are looking to avoid prescription medications, others want to enhance the effectiveness of their prescriptions or reduce their side-effects, while some are hoping to wean off their conventional medications. These are all serious decisions that require guidance from a health care professional trained in the use of natural medicines.

Fertility Issues

Whether you are interested in regulating your menstrual cycle in preparation for conceiving (perhaps after a long period of birth control), suffering from recurring miscarriage, or undergoing IVF, we can help. Supplementation, herbs, and acupuncture have proven to be effective in many of our patients struggling with fertility issues.

Dr. Judah Bunin, ND has taken a special interest in this field since 2010. We have many patients who are interested in complementary treatments and second opinions on their conventional therapies. Usually working in co-operation with Oncologists provides the best outcomes for the patient. Naturopathic medicine is used to support the patient through conventional treatment, giving them the best chance of fighting the disease while maintaining the best possible quality of life.

Chronic pain

Whether dealing with fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, sports injuries, arthritis, or other chronic pain conditions, natural and integrative pain management options are becoming an increasingly popular treatment choice.  A combination of acupuncture, massage therapy, laser, ultrasound, nutritional advice, herbal supplements, and stress management has been effective for a number of our patients.
